Seniors Stay Safe

Franklin, NH: Every October, the fire departments in Franklin, Tilton-Northfield, Sanbornton, Belmont, and Gilford along with LRGHealthcare help to insure the safety of local area seniors.

In its’ tenth year “Senior Safety Day” participants assisted approximately eighty seniors with free smoke detector checks and battery changes in the Greater Franklin Area. Many senior residents say that it is because of programs like “Senior Safety Day” that they are able to stay self-sufficient and safe in their homes. The VFW of Franklin generously donated a kick-off breakfast and meeting place for all volunteers and participants involved.
