Seasonal Flu and H1N1 Vaccine information
H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccines are now plentiful in our community. It is not too
late to receive your vaccine. If you have not been vaccinated, call your provider
or one of the following resources.
Seasonal flu vaccine is available:
- On a walk-in basis at the Lakes Region General Hospital Emergency Department/Fast
Track between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon; and 4:00 - 7:00 p.m., seven days
per week.
- At Franklin Regional Hospital’s Infusion Therapy Department, by appointment
only, between the hours of 8:00 a.m - 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; and Saturdays
and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. To make an appointment at the FIT department,
please call 934-2060, ext. 8850.
- Please note that flu vaccines offered in Fast
Track and the FIT Department are for adults and children over the age of nine only.
For younger children, please call your pediatrician’s office. If you believe you
may be in your first trimester of pregnancy, please call your primary care provider
or OB/GYN to discuss this issue with him or her.
H1N1 flu vaccine is available through:
- Local provider offices. Call your provider for more information or to schedule an
appointment.
- HealthFirst Family Care in Franklin and HealthFirst Family Care
in Laconia are offering free H1N1 vaccinations by appointment only. For the Franklin
office, please call 934-1464. For Laconia, 366-1070.
- The Lakes Region Partnership
for Public Health will be scheduling free clinics based on need. Call LRPPH at 528-2145
to register.
- Many local pharmacies are also vaccinating on a walk-in basis or
by appointment. Please call your pharmacy to inquire.
